Please be sure to complete your application in one sitting. Delaying completion may disrupt the submission. Check phone numbers, complete email addresses, and please be sure to answer anything in the 'required' fields. You WILL receive a confirmation email if your application was submitted successfully. 

 A vet reference regarding your current or previous animals is then conducted. From there, your application will be processed and you will be contacted via email by our rescue partner. If you have been approved, your email will indicate the time and date of your adoption!

Adoption: You will be asked to bring a secure pet carrier and $155 recovery fee paid via PayPal. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots until the time of adoption, tested for feline leukemia, and microchipped. Credit cards are not accepted.

Please Note: Applying does not guarantee that the specific kitty you're interested in will still be available when your application is complete. Applications must be approved before a cat is put "on hold" for someone. We encourage pre-approval to make the process smoother if you're ready to adopt a new family member!

C2CND asks for a 72 hour grace period. They are all hard-working volunteers and are processing applications in the order they are received, as quickly as possible. Mac Tabby is only one of the avenues they are receiving applications, so please be patient. However, in the event you would like to check on your application after the grace period, please contact them directly to inquire about your status by emailing cats@c2cnd.org for further assistance.

*Mac Tabby employees do not make final decisions on applications, so they do not have access to application files and will not be able to assist you with your inquiry, so emailing the rescue is best!

Catering to Cats and Dogs adopts their animals to homes in the greater Charlotte region only.  We appreciate your dedication to giving a homeless kitty love and to add another to your family; however, if you live further outside the Charlotte region - please check out some of your local shelters and rescues that need you as well!

You are welcome to change this at your home. Our rescue will give you great info on how to transition your new cat to different foods. 

We have partnered with Catering to Cats and Dogs (C2CND) a 501c3 charitable non-profit. Twelve of their kitties reside at Mac Tabby at a time. Each time one is adopted, another comes in to take its place! Cats in their care can fluctuate from 70-80 kitties, but can rise to over 100 cats during kitten season! We do our part to help! C2CND is run entirely by volunteers who dedicate their time and energy saving, transporting and caring for animals in the Charlotte area.
